Hibiscus International School offers the Cambridge Primary programme, an internationally recognized education framework designed for young learners aged 5 to 11. Adopted by primary schools worldwide, this curriculum emphasizes skill development alongside knowledge acquisition, providing a structured and progressive learning pathway tailored to the needs of primary-aged students.

Cambridge Primary equips our school with a comprehensive framework to nurture students’ skills, knowledge, and understanding in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science. It also supports classroom teaching and learning through detailed guidance, ensuring an engaging and effective educational experience.

Additionally, our curriculum enables teachers to assess students’ progress, preparing them for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint assessments. To cater to diverse learning needs, our English curriculum includes an English as a Second Language (ESL) option, fostering language proficiency for non-native speakers.

English as an Additional Language (EAL): At Hibiscus International School, we proudly welcome students from 25 different countries, many of whom speak English as an additional language. To support their academic success, we provide specialized English as an Additional Language (EAL) classes designed to enhance their proficiency and fluency to the level required for their studies.

Our expert EAL teachers deliver supplementary English lessons alongside regular subjects, working in close collaboration with mainstream subject-specific teachers. This ensures that EAL students can engage with their lessons effectively and progress at the required pace without disadvantage.

EAL support is tailored to each student’s needs, with varying durations and intensities to help them reach an adequate level of proficiency. Once students achieve the required benchmark set by their teachers, they can seamlessly integrate into regular classes and continue their studies independently.

From Year 3 onwards, EAL lessons are integrated into the school timetable. To be promoted, EAL students must meet the examination benchmarks set by their teachers. Upon completing the program, students are awarded a Certificate of Achievement. EAL classes run throughout the term, ensuring continuous support and progress.

Online Parent-Student Portal: Our online portal, powered by Edunav, offers parents a secure and convenient way to stay connected with their child’s school life. Each family receives a unique username and password, granting access to student records anytime, anywhere.
