Yes. All new students have to sit for a placement test, after which they are accordingly placed in appropriate classes based on their performance.

The students of Hibiscus International School represent 25 countries from around the world, providing the school with a wonderfully diverse learning environment.

Each class generally has 15 students, although this varies depending on the year group.

The main mode of parent-teacher communication is the ‘Communication Book’ that is given to each student at the school. We also have an ‘SMS System’ whereby teachers can inform parents about homework, quizzes, holidays, or trips. Parents can also set an appointment with a teacher should they wish to discuss a matter personally. Besides, we have house visits in which the class teacher and one or two subject teachers visit a student and have a meeting with his/her parents. Finally, we send out monthly newsletters to keep parents abreast of various activities and events.

Bus services are available to and from various areas in Kuala Lumpur.

We offer a wide variety of co-curricular/after school activities for various grade levels.

The school starts at 8:10 am and ends at 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday. On Friday the school hours are till 12:20 pm. It should be noted that during after school activities, the school will be open till 4:15 pm, after which students will need to be picked up or take the school buses.

Yes, students wear school uniforms, which are modified to represent the different level of schools (Elementary, Primary and Secondary). However, students are allowed to dress accordingly to a theme during tag days.
